This site is dedicated to Richard, Rowena and Arno Pet.

Richard and Rowena were in the earthquake of January 12, 2010 in Haiti when they went to fetch their adopted son Arno. They wanted to offer him a new life, a bright future in the Netherlands together with his brother Jim.

Unfortunately this was not to be. At 16:53 hours, local time, the hotel where they stayed collapsed. Richard and Rowena and Arno Pet died in each other's arms.

From their desire to give an adopted child a better life, the "Richard and Rowena for Haiti Foundation" was created. The purpose of this foundation is: Ensuring a better life for Haitian orphans. So .... Please help!

Therefore: Let orphans be children!
